48 Hour Wrap-up

The weekend was fun. Everything got done but we missed our first deadline. Our movie will still screen on Wednesday and has a chance to be best of San Diego, but it cannot compete against the rest of the country.

In the end we had a great crew, we did what we had to do AND made a great movie. I think we’re going to get a great reaction from the audience. Sunday post production details ended up taking longer than we anticipated, but all is well. Live and learn. We’ll be back next year!

48 Hour Madness is almost here!

Okay ladies and gentlemen,

It’s 6 hours and counting till this whole 48 hour explosion goes off. Everyone stay tuned and hold on to your hats. It’s going to be a bumpy road.

48 Hour Film – San Diego – 1st Production Meeting

So Mirna and I drove down to SD this weekend to meet with Doug, Derin and the crew. We had a great meeting. Met some good folks and talked for several hours about the upcoming project.

Details: Derin and myself will be handling the Dir. of Photography business. We will be shooting in FULL HD 1080 on a set of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II’s. The main advantage (besides the HD) is the easy work flow considering everything is recorded on small drives, so no CAPTURE TIME. Good stuff.

Mirna Vasquez will be heading up the production management department as well as a few other things I’m sure. More details to come.

48 Hour Film – San Diego – August

Good news, I will be participating in this year’s San Diego 48 Hour Film competition.

It will be held from Friday August 14 to Sunday August 16 in San Diego. The films will later be screened for competition at the Temecula Valley Film Festival. This is a great opportunity. I’m pretty excited.

Shout out to Derin at Park and Ride Films.

The Caregiver playing in Beverly Hills!

“The Caregiver”, movie that I produced and shot, has recently gotten props from the annual Fangoria Convention. It played at their short film exhibition and now is playing in Beverly Hills at their “Midnite Madness” show.
